Wear a shirt, track your heartrate?

Soon you won't have to use a heart rate monitor or FitBit app to track your body's heart rate, calories burned, steps taken and breathing rate, just put a shirt on!

Startup Unveils a Heart-Tracking Shirt | MIT Technology Review

The cost will have to come down for this technology to become viable in the marketplace, but I can see people buying the shirts.

  1. That is a really cool idea, but it's not just the price that's the problem. I do not have a body as awesome as the guy pictured, I would not want to be seen in something that tight. Do they make the shirt for "normal" people too? (loose and baggy). Or if I double shirt (just what one wants to do in 90+ deg southern weather), will it interfere with the readings? Maybe it's best to just admire the guy in the picture... :)
